Blackburn Target Nesmachniy Ready

A man no stranger to the Premiership, Oleg Luzhny feels that Blackburn Rovers target Andri Nesmachniy is well suited to the Premiership and deserves his chance to play here.

Ukrainian International left-back Nesmachniy has been heavily linked with Rovers in recent weeks with his signing supposedly immanent. His coach at Dynamo Kiev is former Ukrainian International and Premiership footballer with Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Luzhny, currently Nesmachniy's assistant coach with the Ukrainian giant. Luzhny said:

"Andri Nesmachniy deserves to play in the EPL. He did so much good for Dynamo that the management decided to let him go. I think he will succeed there. He has a spirit of a fighter and speed.

"He needs to stay calm, listen to the coach and try find good connections with team-mates. The atmosphere in locker rooms is very valued in EPL.

"I stated many times - EPL is the strongest in the world. There players have their chance to show skills and fight. Football is not ballet. Andri knows this. He is ready for hard games."

It appears that everything is all but signed so the Ukraine International is almost certain to arrive in January being Lucas Neill's ready made replacement…

Nesmachniy has experience, yet is still young and has played at a World Cup so being in his mid twenties leaves him with plenty of time a head of him. Although I very much like seeing Rovers own talent come through with a replacement needed for Lucas Neill the Ukraine International fits the bill, ticking most the boxes to meet the standard requirements.

Expensive to have his name on the back of your kids shirt tho'.

Not as expensive as Khizinashvilli, he's alresdy won that Rovers battle!

OK, spelt it wrong first time, but even Khizanishvili still wins... just!

Don't know anything about either..........however who the hell is Ryan Nelson!!! Could be yet another Hughesy special.... I saw a report recently about a young United defender Bardsley? anyone heard any more?

I've seen the guy play (Ukrainian) and from what I remember he's pretty good. A deal is all but signed as far as I can make out so he must be good, Sparky does pick up some gems doesn't he. Phil Bardsley is a decent footballer, things have gone quiet on that front, another team or two in the Premiership are also looking at him I think?

Like you said HDM, he picks up some gems. Im just glad to see that he is of a younger age. Hopefully he will fit in. The prem is a faster pace than any other league as we all know! Remember Ooijers uncomprimising start!

Indeed, if I remember rightly he deos posses pace, so that shouldn't be a problem, just coming to terms with the Premiership might?!?!
