Lambert: Great From Start To Finish

Blackburn Rovers remain unbeaten since Paul Lambert was appointed as Blackburn Manager with the one hundred percent away record continuing after the 2-0 win at Bristol City on Saturday afternoon.

Chances (created) weren't taken in the first half but second half goals from skipper Grant Hanley (who was doubtful before the match) and Ben Marshall (given penalty duties with Jordan Rhodes off) made it six-matches unbeaten now across the spells of Gary Bowyer and Lambert (two wins and a draw) with Rovers taking advantage of the fact Bristol City lost Nathan Baker to a sending off.

If we'd taken the chances in the first half it would've made Lambert's day, however, he was happy enough as it was with a three points (more than warranted in his mind) as he told The Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "We were great from start to finish.

"We knew this was a tough place to come, as they would be hurting from a defeat and their crowd really got behind them, but I thought we were really professional and we should have been a couple up at half-time.

"That was probably the only criticism from the first-half. But credit to the team, I thought we were outstanding and the two goals were excellent.
"

Consistency (and winning matches we should win, at least be expected to win) is what Lambert's been brought in for and so far so good!!

However, we'll not be going overboard just yet with Friday evening another big tester for us as Rotherham United's visit to Ewood Park has to be viewed as a winnable match and one Rovers have got to be winning (we need to) if a play off push is on in the New Year, which isn't looking a bad call under him so far??

Almost a thousand Rovers supporters travelled once again to back to club with Lambert having praise for those too.

Lambert added: "Our fans were fantastic again, it's a long way to travel and I'm glad we won for them.
