Greatest Ever Squad: Centre-backs

At Vital Blackburn we are trying to put together our Greatest Ever Blackburn Rovers Squad. The four centre-backs have now also been selected.

The names had been suggested and the votes cast. With the option of these six legendary Rovers centre-backs…

Henning Berg
Mike England
Derek Fazackerley
Stephane Henchoz
Colin Hendry
Ryan Nelsen

You have voted Henning Berg (13%), Mike England (10%), Colin Hendry (43%) and Ryan Nelsen (24%) into the Greatest Ever Squad.

Unfortunately Derek Fazackerley (5%) and Stephane Henchoz (5%) miss out this time!

Remember the squad can be changed down the line at your request. Simply suggest the player you feel should come out (and why?) along with the man you feel should come in (and again why?) and it will be put to the vote!

Just to recap this squad will comprise of the following:

3 Goalkeepers

2 Left-backs (or Wing-backs)
2 Right-backs (or Wing-backs)
4 Centre-backs

2 Left-midfielders (or Wingers)
2 Right-midfielders (or Wingers)
4 Central Midfielders

4 Forwards

Next up for selection will be right-backs (or right-wingbacks) so look out for these soon!

Congratulations to centre-back's Berg, England, Hendry and Nelsen for their induction into our Greatest Ever Squad. These players were voted in by you the Vital Blackburn members so what do you think?

Are you happy with the names, comment below…

Colin "the Legend" Hendry was a shoe in, maybe we should have given him a bye straight into the starting XI!!!

I'm glad that Nelsen is in there. He hasnt been here long but the impact he has had and will have will make him the best ever.

Nelsen has the potential to be the best ever but still has a little to go before he's up with the master!
