Greatest Ever Squad: Left-backs

At Vital Blackburn we are trying to put together our Greatest Ever Blackburn Rovers Squad. The two left-backs have now also been selected.

The names had been suggested and the votes cast. With the option of these six legendary Rovers Left-backs…

John Bailey
Stig Inge Bjornebye
William Eckersley
Graeme Le Saux
Keith Newton
Alan Wright

You have voted Stig Inge Bjornebye (25%) and Graeme Le Saux (40%) into the Greatest Ever Squad.

Unfortunately John Bailey (6%), William Eckersley (8%), Keith Newton (17%) and Alan Wright (4%) miss out this time!

Remember the squad can be changed down the line at your request. Simply suggest the player you feel should come out (and why?) along with the man you feel should come in (and again why?) and it will be put to the vote!

Just to recap this squad will comprise of the following:

3 Goalkeepers

2 Left-backs (or Wing-backs)
2 Right-backs (or Wing-backs)
4 Centre-backs

2 Left-midfielders (or Wingers)
2 Right-midfielders (or Wingers)
4 Central Midfielders

4 Forwards

Next up for selection will be centre-backs so look out for these soon!

Congratulations to left-back's Graeme Le Saux and Stig Inge Bjornebye for their induction into our Greatest Ever Squad. These players were voted in by you the Vital Blackburn members so what do you think?

Maybe one day the guy in the image Jay Mceveley may feature in such a thing, if he gets a chance to play!?!?! Le Saux was a gimmie, a little surprised the Stig got in perhaps? Well done to both, and thanks for voting and suggesting names.
