'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Other Founder Members Were...

My love for facts, stats and trivia lead me to try something different here on Vital Blackburn. I gave you a Trivia question to try and answer.

The question asked:
"Rovers are one of three teams to be founder members of both the Football League and the Premier League. Who are the other two?"

Blackburn Rovers Football Club were not only one of the founder members of the Football League but also a founder member of the Premier League, due to us being in the Premier League's opening season of 1992-1993.

The other two were of course Aston Villa and Everton.

A little side issue (which I am sure everyone already knows) all three have won the Football League (Villa seven times and Everton nine), but out of the three Rovers are the only team to have won both the Football League (old First Division) and the Premier League!

Congratulations to vital member NeilBaker who was the first to correctly get this, and within eight minutes! Just piping DBT Riverside.

Do you have any trivia questions you would like to put to everyone?
If so contact me via the e-mail link or place your questions below and I'll get vital football members pondering over your teaser…

Good work NeilBaker. As yet another side issue Howard Kendall (in the image - if people didn't know!) is of course a man who had a history with both Rovers and Everton, leading Everton to some of those Title victories.
