Greatest Ever Squad: Left-backs

Greatest Ever Squad: Left-backs

As you know we at Vital Blackburn are trying to put together our Greatest Ever Blackburn Rovers Squad. The Left-back names have been suggested so the voting can start soon.

After looking through the names you, the vital Blackburn members suggested with at least nine, maybe more names mentioned these are the options that will be available for you to vote on (in no preferential order, merely alphabetical)...

John Bailey
Stig Inge Bjornebye
William Eckersley
Graeme Le Saux
Keith Newton
Alan Wright

Some of you mentioned the names more than once, but to be fair I've only taken into account the mention once from each member.

So you have brought the above into contention for the left full-back positions in the Greatest Ever Squad. Voting will start later today to determine which TWO will take their place in the squad.

Just to recap this squad will comprise of the following:

3 Goalkeepers

2 Left-backs (or Wing-backs)
2 Right-backs (or Wing-backs)
4 Centre-backs

2 Left-midfielders (or Wingers)
2 Right-midfielders (or Wingers)
4 Central Midfielders

4 Forwards

Thanks for your efforts in contributing names; hopefully this will continue right the way through the selection process…

This is a good way to promote people to get interactive with the site, and I might have a use of this idea on my site too!

Feel free mdjw_41, people seem to like the idea which I'm glad about as I wasn't sure when I thought about doing it.

The left-back seletion was difficult wasn't it as we don't really have a long line of real top class left-back's in recent years do we really?
