What Time Is It? Its Derbyshire Time

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked "Is it time for Matt Derbyshire to be given his chance at Ewood?" Unanimously you say YES!

With Rovers struggling to score goals with Matty having now problem finding the net (all be this in the reserves and lower level's of the Football League with Wrexham) 87% share my view that it is time that the youngster was given the chance he deserves.

Some think that maybe another loan spell would do him good as he isn't quite ready. Only 3% think if he isn't ready yet he never will be, which depending on which way you look at it only adds to the call for him to come in!

So in summary
Yes scores for fun in reserves - 87%
No, not quite ready - 3%
If not ready now he'll never be ready! - 3%
Should go out on loanā€¦AGAIN! - 7%

With Lucas Neill set to return against Fulham tomorrow with Andre Ooijer having stood in as captain in the stand-in captains absence the current poll is asking, "Should Ooijer remain captain when Neill returns?"

PLEASE NOTE: This poll is going to be quick fire 24-hour one ahead of tomorrow's game so get your votes in quick!

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findingsā€¦

I say that if Derbyshire doesn't get a chance this season he never will so we WILL lose him and he WILL come back and haunt us. Come on Sparky give the kid a chance, if nothing else from the bench at least, surely we owe him that?

with Jeffers with a groin(?) injury, Nonda not performing and Big J crocked... too right it is... but would Hughesy prefer Gally?

Well from what I can gather Derbyshire isn't even part of the squad tomorrow (again) so even with Jeffers' "groin" injury he won't get a look in, maybe Gally will?

Its time he got his chance, our first team strikers arent scoring, so there is no risk, give him and gally a go

He got a chance... all of a couple of minutes! It's a start though. Hopefully he'll get a bit more against Charlton, in which case I'm CERTAIN he'll score his first senior goal I really am.
