Ideal Rovers Saturday Line-up

MikeyGamst's view on what Rovers should do this weekend against Fulham in the absence of the maestro Tugay.

With Tugay suspended at the weekend the creativity in the centre will need to come from someone else.... whilst Robbie and Aaron Mokoena are Sparky's preferred pairing in Tugay's absence I believe that leaves us short of "Spark" (see what I did there.... I'll get my coat).

There is a way in my eyes to maintain the balance of the midfield and instil some creativity in the "Turkish delights" absence -

Play Morten Gamst Pedersen (or Sergio Peter) on the left with Robbie in the middle doing the graft, which is the norm. The next bit is the trick that will shake things up...

Try playing David Bentley in the middle with Savage to make the forward runs and give the team drive and creativity which is what "The Axe" cannot do. Savage will have to sit a little deeper but that will not come at any detriment to the team overall.

In his place on the right wing Paul Gallagher can play, his crossing is good and whenever he has been used so far this year he has been lively. Its worth a try Mr. Hughes....

What does everyone else reckon????

Very cleaver on your spark use! It sounds good in theory and doing this will give us something more in the middle than we'll get from the axe and also gives Gally a run out but I'd rather see him play up top. I'd be willing to play this but maybe in order to give Peter a run out he deserves if he won't drop MGP (which he won't) play Peter on the right (out of position I know!) which is where he often plays when he comes on for Bentley and try that, or shift MGP to the right, after all he is natually right footed, he retrained himself to play left footed at an early age.

I wouldnt put Bentley in the middle, he's been there b4 and kinda looks lost there. I would the 'Axe' as the holding midfielder and this would allow Savage to ruin forward which he is good at!! then Pederson and Bentley can stay on the flanks, Then Gallagher can play up front.
Clint
Sorry MikeyGamst i'm going to have to go with Clint's four. Although Fulham have little to worry us too much at the back, however, Sergio should get a run out instead of MGP.
