What was Novembers top Rovers Goal?

Each month, you the Vital Blackburn members are given the chance to vote for what you thought was the Goal of the Month. Where possible you are also given the chance of actually seeing the goal!

Before casting your vote in the poll here is a recap of the top four goals for November (the only goals for the month, with three coming in one game!)

If the visual description isn't enough to refresh the memory check out the video clip to again relive the goal in all its glory from several different angles thanks to our friends at you tube.

Tugay
Thursday 2nd verses FC Basel, Ewood Park, UEFA Cup (3-0 win)
The midfield maestro brought the ball down on his chest from 35-yards plus, beat his man with ease runs forward, always looking around before unleashing high into the roof of the net with an unstoppable 25-yard effort. Tugay v Basel (h)

Francis Jeffers
Thursday 2nd verses FC Basel, Ewood Park, UEFA Cup (3-0 win)
When played through Morten Gamst Pedersen was brought down for a penalty. Francis Jeffers had no hesitation and grabbed the ball. Jeffers blasted the ball down the middle of the goal for his first in Rovers colours, now that's how you take a penalty! Jeffers v Basel (h)

Benni McCarthy
Thursday 2nd verses FC Basel, Ewood Park, UEFA Cup (3-0 win)
Very good work in the corner from David Bentley saw him find Francis Jeffers who then pulled the ball back for the waiting Paul Gallagher who's effort was saved but only parried to Benni McCarthy who in typical goal poachers fashion followed up to slot home. McCarthy v Basel (h)

Tugay
Sunday 19th verses Tottenham, Ewood Park, Premiership (1-1 draw)
A corner was headed away by Ledley King to what Tottenham Hotspur thought was safety, Tugay had other ideas! He watched the flight of the ball all the way steadied himself and showed world-class technique as he volley home the sweetest goal you could wish to see, what a strike! Tugay v Spurs (h)

You've read about the goals and now probably even watched them several times since seeing them the first time so it's time to cast your vote. Why not also have your say below…

I think we all know who will win this, the question is which one of the two will be the winner!

Whilst i think his goal against tottenham will win as it is fresh in our minds, the goal against basel is the winner for me. The way he controlled the ball, dashed of and scored, also the importance of the goal as it set us on our way to victory
sasman
Both are very fresh in my mind and both were truly world-class tough call but a volley is such an art to master especially from 25-yards.

There is no contest! Turkish Delight anyone?

the Spuds goal that is... sasman I agree that Tugay's beautifully placed goal against Basel was quality but for sheer beauty it has to be his volley.
Ex Ewood Resident
Lol, dam i think im outvoted on this one lol. Ah well good to see that we can score such entertaining goals, all we need is more goal to go with it lol
sasman
Any other month and that Basel goal would have won but he's outdone himself this month hasn't he!
Hughes Da Man
But then again, each time Tugay does score it outdoes his last goal, always scores screamers, great technique
sasman
well its gunna be tyed between the 2 tugay gaols
marshinrover
