'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sherwood Backs Rovers for UEFA Glory

The former captain of Blackburn Rovers, in fact our Premiership winning captain Tim Sherwood feels that despite our Premiership worries we will be successful in Europe.

When speaking to Eurosport.com Sherwood said:

"Blackburn are playing good football now and are not the long ball side that they have been accused of in the past.

"They've been getting goals and have the quality to unlock defences in Europe, they just have that bit of luck that they've lacked domestically and will hope it continues this week.

"If they win they have a great chance of making it out of the group."

I'm pretty sure that only a point is needed to see Rovers thought, but I may well be wrong?

Sherwood will once again be the studio guest for the match on British Eurosport, as has so often been the case when Rovers' games are televised be it on British Eurosport, Sky Sports or Channel 5. I have to admit I've enjoyed watching him and hearing what he's has to say.

"They've been great in Europe but a bit of luck has been missing in the Premiership," added Sherwood.

I would disagree very slightly with Sherwood here… we've had more than "a bit" of luck missing in the Premiership!
