Dunn's Rovers Return Looking Likely?

David Dunn's return to Blackburn Rovers is looking even more likely with the news that Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan has revealed the club are ready to sell.

Rovers were reported to have made a late move for Dunn during the summer transfer window but had their efforts knocked back but Dunn himself admitted a return is something he would dearly have loved, and would have still welcomed in the future.

Birmingham are keen to cash in on Dunn, who will be out of contract in the summer and Matthew Upson, who is himself refusing a new deal. Sullivan told the Daily Mirror:

"There will be some players leaving in January.

"Matthew Upson is a great player but he wants to go to a bigger club."

The club are hoping to get £4 million for Upson, who is being linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United and £1 million for Dunn heavily linked with Rovers.

I'm sure that many will want Dunn back, with people voicing this back in August with several doing again recently. There are sure to be those that also wouldn't want him back. Whatever your view leave your thoughts below

Look out for a Poll on the subject of Dunn returning, likely to be posted by the end of the week.

At the present time I'm sure most would marshin.

We have better midfield players than Dunn (when they are all fit) so who would he replace? Would he be happy with the bench, he didnt like it last time. Has his attitude changed? Too many ifs for £1m. No deal.

Fair response r.waterfall, I hear what you are saying. When all players are fit he probably wouldn't be in my team but with players out I wouldn't mind. Recent times have highlighted our lack of squad depth.

For 20k a week and 5 games a season, we'll pay you £1m to take him off us! In all seriousness, I don't need to tell you lot about his quality but the Blues fans have all but given up on him ever playing a regular role for us. Not too many would be upset to see him leave I don't think. It's a shame. Aff www.joysandsorrows.co.uk

I have to admit to not being a massive favorite of Dunny's especially with the injury worries... However his passion for Rovers could make a difference, he could be our next Tugay! It's the midfield where I think we are still to light.

Without doubt midfield is a real problem area so I would like to see at least one, maybe two come in in January. If Dunn can remain fit then he'll be a good option.
