Rovers NEED to Buy in January!
Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Should we bring in the reserves or buy new players in January?" Comprehensively you say… BUY!
73% of those that voted felt (and quite rightly!) that we need to buy in January to strengthen the squad. Recent injuries have proven just how the squad is lacking in depth if we are honest.
11% would rather see money saved and reserves brought in but on the other hand 5% feel although we have a lot of talent most are not really ready yet, with the final 11% thinking most are in the reserves as they belong there!
So in summary
Buy to strengthen squad - 73%
Save money, use what we have - 11%
A lot of talent but most are not ready yet - 5%
BUY! Most are reserves for a reason! - 11%
With Wael Gomaa once again being heavily linked, with a medical supposed to take place this week the current poll (suggested by Vital Blackburn member marshinrover)is asking, "IF we sign him who would partner Wael Gomaa in Central Defence?"

I'm just worried about the mire we are getting into. YES, we will be better obviously when we have the hugely missed foursome of Nelson, Reid, Savage and Roberts but until then I cannot see us winning many games and by the time they are back we could be in serious dogfight territory.

you don't need to strengthen too much when Nelson, Reid, Savage and Roberts are back you'll climb up the table again!!

we do however need a left back! micky has been found out again. Lucas has been in great form but we all know he ain't staying. I'm sure Bridge could be prised away from chelsea even if its only on loan.

Yup - Reid, Nelsen, Roberts all long term, and Savage temporarily. It may sound stupid, but take Essien, Terry, Drogba and Lampard out of the Chelsea squad, and even they would start to struggle - Although the players may not be on the same par, they are our equivalents, and losing them for so long has to take it's toll - Note, i read that Pedersen has a broken rib now too, but that's totally unsubstantiated.

Dunny should be bought in the transfer window, we need some more cover in midfield. Mokoena is just not good enough and since Savage and Reid have been injured it has been all too clear how short we are in the midfield areas and it is costing us.
Have you seen that we have been apparantly linked with Doyle from Reading? He would be a good signing.
With regards to Gomaa, how many central defenders do we need??

I hear what you are saying wellsy it is a worry isn't it. Dunny would welcome a move back so if Sparky moves for him he'll get him.

It would probably be via another stand-off between Bruce and Hughesy, like it was with Savage, but when a player wants to go it is in the best interests of both clubs to let them go.

The problem is we don't neccessarily need to buy a lot in jan considering we have four very important players returning from injury. The prob is now and there is nothing we can do about it

You can argue that but if we don't buy more injuries will leave us in an equally bad, if not worse position for the remainder of the season. Forwards are sound in my opinion just midfield and maybe defence that needs looking at.
