Bentley After Another Brilliant Day

Bentley After Another Brilliant Day

Having scored a hat trick for Blackburn Rovers against Manchester United in last seasons unforgettably 4-3 win David Bentley is hoping for a repeat performance.

Having only arrived, signing a permanent deal with Rovers only 24-hours earlier Bentley celebrated turning his loan into a full time deal with his hat trick on that unforgettable evening on 1st February 2006 as we completed out 2005-2006 double over United!

"It was a great day for me and the team," said Bentley as he began looking back.

The inform winger went on to add:

"Hopefully Saturday will be another!

"It is what you dream of as a player. To sign the night before and then to score three goals was just brilliant.

"I really enjoyed it, but I'm not resting on that. I'm looking to go out there and perform and get another three goals - every footballer goes out with the belief that you can do it again.

"It is all about going out there and playing, giving it your all and doing well. You have got to enjoy your work and that is what I try to do."

What chance a repeat performance, "highly" and "unlikely" spring to mind… purely in terms of a Bentley hat trick in a 4-3 win of course! I'm sure odds that I've seen somewhere will see a seven and a half grand payout on a ten pound wager!

A tenner is nothing in this day and age, but even with that kind of payout as much as I would love to see a complete replica performance I think I'd rather save my money…

he is a great talent..but days like that one and hat tricks against man utd are a rare once in a players lifetime scenario....so I sadly donot expect it too happen again this weekend..........mind you the odds must be great on it happening ????...

Hat trick and a 4-3 win HIGHLY unlikely, quality Bentley performance and Rovers win highly probable!
