Tugay Blackburn Fans Favourite

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Who is the Rovers fans favourite?" With the options you had you voted in favour of Tugay.

The poll, suggested by Vital Blackburn member marshinrover has seen you vote Tugay as the fans favourite with 48%.

In second came the "other" option with 20%. But who were these others? Would you have gone Brad Friedel, Robbie Savage, David Bentley, Ryan Nelsen, Steven Reid etc. etc.

Benni McCarthy, although only new to the club is already undoubtedly a fans favourite with his 18% proving testament as he came third. Having initially struggled Andre Ooijer has come good (as we knew he would) and with 6% came fourth.

Surprisingly Morten Gamst Pedersen only gained 4%; Shabani Nonda gained the same amount.

Thanks for the poll suggestion marshin.

I have to admit that the poll hasn't been one that has fully gone down well with all members though and I can understand their point to a degree but it is always difficult when you only have six options available. Plus it is a personal preference of the person suggesting isn't it.

But hey this is the beauty of Vital Football you have your chance to submit your poll on your subject and then we can all agree or disagree (or agree to disagree as the case may be!) as we want and make our comments! So why not do so on this issue below giving your names for the other you would have voted for!

So in summary
Benni McCarthy - 18%
Shabani Nonda - 4%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 4%
Tugay - 48%
Andre Ooijer - 6%
Other - 20%

The current poll (this is to be a rapid fire 24 hour one so get voting fast!)is asking, "Will the weeks break have done us good?"

As for what you think, cast your vote and (AS I SAY!) why not have your say on the latest polls findings...

Even with the likes of Friedel, Nelsen, Savage etc. in the running Tugay would have been right up there wouldn't he?

Still... we meeting a Unted side generally on form and looking to prove somethign after they cup exit! Scary!

It certainly is, not ideal preparations for the game is it (from our point of view.)

Guys do u think Nonda is becoming better ? i think he is becoming great !
Roversguy
I do like Nonda, he's working hard and playing well and getting back to full fitness. He just needs a run of goals then he'll be on fire. In all fairness to him though its not as if he is missing chances, he's just not really getting many.
Hughes Da Man
Nonda has been looking good and showing promise but he needs a goal. His finishing can be erractic at times which is disappointing.
roversman
Tugay has long been a favourite of the fans and it will continue because he shows a love and dedication towards the club. Tis very rare these days.
roversman
Very true. I wondered whether he would turn out to be loyal to Souness, fortunately for us it seems to be the club that he fell for. With his attidtude i sincerely hope we can persuade him to stay on in some capacity when he finally hangs up his boots. I reckon he could get the youth team motivated and teach them some serious skills while they are still at an impressionable age - Just the sort of bloke you want around to shape a players future really.
Head Rover Heels
We should make this our mission to convince the club to 1) Keep him, 2) Convince Tugay that he wants to be a coach (if he hasn't already decided) and 3) Convince both the club and Tugay this should happen at Rovers!!!
Hughes Da Man
i think benni is my favurate at the moment and yes tugay the great master of football
