Bentley - Goal of the Month (Oct)

Bentley - Goal of the Month (Oct)

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "What was Octobers top Goal?" You voted in favour of David Bentley.

With a whopping 76% voting unanimously again in favour of David Bentley for his superb strike against Wigan Athletic he grabs the Goal of the Month yet again! This goal, the first of October followed up the last goal of September, also from Bentley which had gained him September's crown for Goal of that Month.

Bentley also finished as runner up! His late strike against Wisla Krakow in the UEFA Cup gained 18%. Robbie Savage's header in the same European tie came third with the final 6%.

The other goals, two from Benni McCarthy and another from Bentley failed to register, all ending with 0%.

So having already won the Midfielder of the Month poll three months running, the Player of the Month and Goal of the Month poll's for September David Bentley has scooped yet another honour with October's goal of the Month for this To see goal click here strike (the build up adds to the goals beauty) against Wigan in the Premiership on 1st October 2006.

For Bentley to complete a hat trick of Goal of the Month successes he will have to pull out something VERY, VERY special as Tugay staked a VERY STRONG claim on November 2nd with "that" European goal…

So in summary
Bentley v Wigan (h) - 76%
McCarthy v Wigan (h) - 0%
McCarthy v Liverpool (a) - 0%
Savage v Wisla Krakow (a) - 6%
Bentley v Wisla Krakow (a) - 18%
Bentley v WHU (a) - 0%

I can't stress enough the move itself was pure class, fantastic one touch football, the kind of football we often play without the credit we deserve!
