Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Player of the Month for October?" You voted in favour of Tugay.
Unusually, having narrowly scrapped into the final vote just piping Robbie Savage into second place in the poll to determine the Midfielder of the Month, being comfortably beaten into second by David Bentley Rovers' midfield maestro Tugay has been crowned Player of the Month for October with 54%. I say unusually as it was a surprise to see a player so convincingly beaten into the runners up spot by Bentley in the midfield poll to then go on and triumph so convincingly himself in the final vote, not that I'm saying Tugay doesn't deserve the accolade as he does!
With 20%, having been voted August's Player of the Month Brett Emerton finished October as runner-up. With 9% September's winner David Bentley came in third, closely followed by Lucas Neill in fourth with 7%.
Strike duo Benni McCarthy and Shabani Nonda completed the final 10%, gaining 5% each.
So our former Turkish International Tugay has quite rightly been voted October's Player of the Month after a string of fine performances, especially in our European ties.
Although this shouldn't have swayed the vote I feel that maybe his performance and goal against FC Basel on Thursday (with this game falling in November!) may have convinced people on which way to vote?
Tugay was certainly a worthy winner for October nonetheless and has staked an early claim to this Month's crown, almost certainly won himself November's goal of the Month award already!
So in summary
Lucas Neill -7%
Brett Emerton - 20%
David Bentley - 9%
Tugay - 54%
Benni McCarthy - 5%
Shabani Nonda - 5%
So the search for October's Player of the Month has ended with Tugay taking the crown, the current poll is asking, "What was Octobers top Goal?"
You decide so cast your vote (don't forget you can view the goals before you vote!) and why not have your say on the latest polls findings...
