Derby Loan Move For Best

Blackburn Rovers striker Leon Best knew all too well some while back that he wasn't in our future plans.

If, however, he was left in any doubt at all that he would have a part to play for Rovers in the 2014-2015 season then he would've had a rude awakening on Thursday when he (along with Rueben Rochina) wasn't even assigned a squad number for this season!!

A worry that I've had has been that we'd not get any takers for the twenty-seven-year-old Republic of Ireland International striker and we'd be lumbered with him, however, the 3million signing from Newcastle United two summer's ago could be on his way to Championship rivals Derby County??

BBC Radio Derby is reporting that Derby are in talks about a loan deal for Best, which will hopefully involve them paying a large slice of his wages as we're unlikely to strike a deal that see's them paying the lot!!

Baring in mind we will be paying a chunk of his wages and Derby will be a promotion rival I'm not that happy about this but at least his toxic attitude will be out of the club.

When does Best`s contract finish, is it the end of this season?
