Neill Top Rovers Defender

Neill Top Rovers Defender

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Defender/Keeper of the Month for October?"

Brett Emerton's strangle hold has finally been broken with him beaten to the honour of being Vital Blackburn's Defender/Keeper of the Month by countryman Lucas Neill. Rovers' Australian International comfortably won the poll with 51%.

Emerton this month finished in second place with 20% to also book his place in the overall vote to determine the Player of the Month.

The ever-improving Andre Ooijer claimed 13% along with goalkeeper Brad Friedel with Zurab Khizanishvili gaining the final 3%. Unfortunately due to only playing 45-minutes of first team football in October, despite saving a penalty in the game Jason Brown surprisingly failed to register, finishing with 0%.

So in summary
Brad Friedel - 13%
Jason Brown - 0%
Brett Emerton - 20%
Andre Ooijer - 13%
Zurab Khizanishvili - 3%
Lucas Neill - 51%

So as the search for October's player of the month continues the current poll is asking, "Midfielder of the Month for October?"

Who will join Neill and Emerton in the overall vote to determine October's Player of the Month... you decide so cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings...

It's good to see that Neill's "predicament" isn't causing unfair blinkered views of him and he's still getting the credit he deserves.

Ooijer is getting better and better but still don't think you can say he had a better month than Neill or Emerton, maybe November will be his month?
