Neill worth at least £2-3 million

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll (suggested by govtpros) asked you "Having watched Neill for some seasons what price tag would Rovers fans put on him? "

With the future of Lucas Neill almost certainly away from Ewood Park having arrived from Millwall in 2001 for a mere £1 million most (35%) would rather see him leave whilst we can still get a fee, with this favoured fee and a fee people feel is a correct tag for him being £2-3 million.

Rovers have certainly had every pennies worth (and much more!) of the £1 million paid for the Australian International so if he left for £2-3 million they would also make a financial gain on him as well!

No one begrudges him the chances to move on, especially to one of the Worlds biggest sides. Should this move however turn out to be to a Premiership rival on a par or merely slightly above Rovers this is when fans may react differently.

Hopefully Neill can get the move to Barcelona in January he so desires, with the Spanish giants almost certain be able offer such a fee.

Only 8% think that he should go for free in July, so the thinking behind this has to be it is better to cash in now than wait until then. If he can't agree a move to Barca in January I feel the dream move could pass him by as another six months down the line could see any number of players brought to their attention…
