Neill signs for Watford

Former Rovers defender Lucas Neill has today joined Watford on a free transfer for the remainder of the 2013/14 season.

The Australian has been training with Rovers in recent months after being told to find a new club to stake a claim for a World Cup spot in the Aussie squad for Brazil 2014.

But after failing to secure a deal from Rovers manager Gary Bowyer, Neill has opted to take a contract at our Championship rivals at Vicarage Road.
