Blackburn Rovers' in form winger turned right-back Brett Emerton feels we should go into tomorrow afternoon's UEFA Cup group E clash with Wisla Krakow with nothing to fear as confidence is so high.
The Australian International who has played such a pivotal role in Rovers' unbeaten seven match run, both as a defensive and also offensive force said:
"It is quite a tough group but in saying that I still feel confident that we are one of the better teams and should qualify as long as we perform near our best.
"I think we are a pretty confident team away from home, I don't see any reason why we can't go there on Thursday night and win and I think that goes for the other matches as well in this group.
"I think the two performances against Salzburg in the first round were very good. In the end I think we won it quite comfortably, so hopefully that good form can continue into these coming matches.
"The UEFA Cup is of huge importance for us, it isn't everyday you get to play in European competitions. I think everybody wants to do well and know from previous experiences what a great experience it can be.
"With each game if you play well you gain confidence, and I think that is showing throughout our team and we've gone seven games unbeaten so we are confident at the moment and hopefully we'll continue that form."
In what will be a difficult game with the Polish side, with Wisla Krakow somewhat of an unknown quantity to not only Rovers but also our other group E opponents also sees Emerton come up against fellow Aussies Jacob Burns and Michael Thwaite.
"I haven't actually spoken to them, but I am looking forward to coming up against a couple of my Aussie mates. I don't know a lot about them as a team as yet but I'm sure we'll learn much more before we go into the match," Emerton added.
