'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bowyer asks for cutting edge

Rovers have been left licking their wounds after Saturday's 3-0 reverse at Brighton.

After for the large majority of the game being the better side on display at the AMEX, the visitors ultimately ended up on the wrong end of an undeserved 3-0 defeat.

But to apportion blame Gary Bowyer and his side need not look too far into the distance with Rovers the main architects in their own downfall.

A host of missed chances and a Tomasz Kuszczack blinder left Rovers without a share in the goals that their general play merited but it was the mistakes down the defensive end that truly damned an other pretty competent display.

'We can't keep giving teams goals then getting plaudits for how well we've played and how we were the better team,' Bowyer told the official Rovers site.

'They were three poor goals, we can't keep giving the opposition goals, we can't keep giving teams a head start.

'We have to cut out the individual errors, we've not been carved open today.

'For me their man-of-the-match was their goalkeeper. That tells me we were well in the game but we've not been ruthless enough.

'We've just got to get ourselves back ready for the Reading game.'

Rovers now have the frustrating silence of ANOTHER international break to endure before the right the wrong of the seaside trip with Reading the visitors to Ewood Park.
