Watford - Rovers Match Postponed

Blackburn Rovers' Premiership fixture with Watford at Vicarage Road, scheduled for Saturday 25th November 2006 has been postponed.

With Rovers involved in a UEFA Cup match with Feyenoord in Holland on the Thursday before (23rd November) they were hoping for the game to be switched to Sunday 26th November. However, with Watford already committed to another Premiership match with Sheffield United on Tuesday 28th November they were unwilling, quite fairly to agree to the request.

As a result the FA Premier League has agreed to a request from both parties to postpone the match all together and reschedule for an as yet unknown date later in the season.

This article was planned for posting on Friday 13th October.

Both lubs have equall reasons for not wanting the game played and rightly so, so rescheduling is the fairest thing.
