Olsson completes Canaries switch

Norwich City have signed Blackburn left back Martin Olsson for a fee believed to be 2.5m.

Olsson has signed a four year deal at Carrow Road, after spending 7 years at Ewood Park.

The Swedish international was very much a slow burner at Rovers, having signed from Hogaborgs BK back in 2006. After a spell in the youth side he was a hit in the Rovers first team under Sam Allardyce and subsequently under Steve Kean as well.

Bit after Rovers relegation the player was angling for a move away and despite delaying the inevitable by a year Olsson has left Rovers with the fee he commands less than a calendar year ago, mainly due to poor form last season.

His sale should free up some funds for incoming players.

Best of luck to Martin in the future.

Was always likely to happen this. Personally I am a fan but seems like the right time for him to move on.
