'If It's Football, It's Vital'

I'd Have Sheri in my side!

Teddy Sheringham had previously turned down a move to Blackburn Rovers in the summer; rumours recently linked the club with a renewed bid for the veteran in January, which have since been denied...

Vital Blackburn member Clint had this to say on the Sheringham link:

"If Blackburn can get Sheri just for a few months then there's no better person for the young strikers - and the more established ones - to learn from, he is second only to Bergkamp in the history of the Premiership and can still do a job at 40."

Clint makes a very good point, there aren't many better in his role than the former England International. His experience could have proved priceless as although he may not have featured in all games and for the full ninety minutes in many, as Clint says the younger and senior players for that matter couldn't have learned from many better.

You can argue that Hughes should be a good teacher but he was a different type of player, Sheringham would also be plying his trade, passing on his benefit from a playing point of view also.

The club have denied a move, and some are happy with this as they worry about who might be sacrificed to accommodate a Sheringham arrival but you never know with football, a denial doesn't always mean something will or won't happen...

Here cheers for the mention there mate. He would be good to get in, in a coaching role even, as you stated between him and Hughes who would not learn from those two!! even current international strikers would kill to learn from two of the best.
Clint
You are more than welcome Clint, another of your comment inspired articles on the youth will be added soon! People would certainly learn from Sheri. With him and Hughes could you ask for more?

i think he would be a great aspect to the club player or coach

Maybe he will still arrive in either, or both capacity?
