Rovers have discovered their task for next season with the full fixture list announced at 9am this morning.

Gary Bowyer's men already knew they faced a trip to Pride Park on the opening day due to special Football League anniversary arrangements but have been handed a tough home game against Nottingham Forest the following weekend for the first competitive Ewood Park fixture of the season.

Following that will be a trip to newly promoted Doncaster.

The two Cotton Mill derbies are scheduled in for the 14th September (Dingle Dome) and the 8th of March (Ewood) but both will likely be switched to the Sundays.

Sheffield Wednesday are the opposition at Ewood on Boxing Day and Rovers wrap up the season with a home game against Wigan Athletic.
