Williamson extends Rovers stay

Williamson extends Rovers stay

Lee Williamson has signed a contract extension at Blackburn Rovers which will keep him at the club till 2015.

Williamson was signed on a free transfer in February of this year and despite picking up an early injury away to Hull City has made a good impression in the battling role in midfield.

The decision has even made to extend his current stay at the club which would have come to an end this coming season had an extension not been agreed.

Timing seems a bit weird as this could have waited till midway into next season but he does an underrated job in midfield IMO.
