Reports - Michael Appleton sacked

Rovers have this morning sacked Michael Appleton after 67 days in charge of Blackburn Rovers.

He was reportedly summoned to a meeting this morning where he was given his marching orders after a run of only two league wins in his short tenure saw Rovers drop to just outside the relegation places.

Appleton was Rovers FIFTH manager of the season with Gary Bowyer now expected to take charge until the end of the season.

The circus continues...

Are we ever going to see an end to this shambles?!

To be honest I am a little shocked with this. Although results have not been the best, I honestly think the players this time are to blame. He was honest, which has been lacking from previous managers. When he mentioned a summer clear out, it was possibly the first thing i agreed with in a while, from any who filled that seat. (although I have to say, Bowyer was great when in charge last time)

Embarrassing. Totally embarrassing. I know the results havent been great, the performances not much better either, but 5 managers in a season??? What do they expect, the players must not know if they're coming or going.. Enough is Enough. Leave Bowyer in charge now till the end of the season. we need and crave stability.

Every time these clowns of owners sack another manager it makes it harder to bring in someone capable of doing the job. Any manager needs his own squad and his own pre-season to get the job done. If Venkys want instant success they should appoint someone who has a track record and some capability of delivering. They, and they alone, are responsible for the shambles that our Club has now become. The players must be totally demotivated and the emotional cost to the fans is huge. For all the worthy intent of the various supporters' groups there is nothing that we can do as fans except sit back and watch this slow-motion car crash.

Another shocking decision, they really are trying to completely destroy and finish this once great club.Unlucky for Appleton, seemed a nice bloke and promising manager.Don't think he did himself any favours with recent style of football that made Fat Sam look like Guardiola. Not like we were playing Barcelona either, was a very weak Milwall team that made us look like a conference side, and our performances in those two games were the worst unattractive style I've witnessed in all my time as a rovers fan.Hopefully Bowyer can keep us up(crazy to be saying this) and then Venkys touch wood give up and bail this summer, new experienced manager given time to take us up to where we belong......This feels like a pipe dream though as things stand!

I blame the FA.They let peoplewho know nothing about football buy our clubs. The rules say that only fit and proper persos should be allowed to own clubs. I know we have our differences but you hae my sympathy, best of luck.
