Rovers Lose One of Our Own

It's a sad day when we lose anyone from the Blackburn Rovers family, however to lose a brave young lady at the tender age of 21 really puts things in perspective.

Emma (McDougall) Mincher today lost her long fighting battle against cancer. The cancer was a reoccurrence of the condition she bravely overcame at the age of 18. Emma leaves behind her loving husband and 2 children.

Emma joined Blackburn Rovers in 2008, making her debut in a 17-0 Lancashire Cup Tie victory. She managed to make 3 appearances for the Ladies top flight team in 2007/08 before making 20 appearances in 2008/09.

From all of us here at Vital Blackburn, we send our condolences to Stefan (Husband), children, friends and all family.

Sad day for the immediate/extended family and the Rovers community. RIP
Sasman!
Hoorendous news, that is no time of life to be dying. Thoughts are with her family and friends.
