Appleton aiming to fine tune Bentley

Appleton aiming to fine tune Bentley

Rovers are set to conclude a loan deal for former player David Bentley.

The now Spurs player has agreed in principle to move back to Ewood Park on an emergency loan deal until the end of the season after being frozen out at White Hart Lane.

This has left the England international, who has been out in the wilderness of Russia earlier in the season, looking for a fresh start - and rather ironically that looks set to be at the club he left for 'bigger things'.

But a career decline followed instead of the brave launch into superstardom the player expected, with Bentley now looking all but ready to return to Rovers to help their play off push.

Will be interesting to see what reception he gets?

I`ll never forget that hat trick at old Trafford, lol the look on Fergies face after that game lol. If I remember correctly Bentley was the first opposition player to score a hat trick there.

The hat trick was at Ewood, but yes you are correct... 1st player to score a hat trick against manure in the Premiership.
