Transfer deadline day ends in farce

Transfer deadline day ends in farce

Oh dear.

That wasn't in the script was it?

The much heralded transfer deadline day ended in farce for Rovers with two late deals failing to beat the 11pm deadline and ending a night where initially Rovers looked to have played the day well, but when the dust had settled it was quite the opposite.

The deals for both DJ Campbell from QPR and Jerome Thomas from WBA both fell through as Rovers were late pushing the required paperwork to the right authorities in time.

That has left our boys with a hole in the squad with Ruben Rochina, Simon Vukcevic and Diogo Rosado all leaving the club over the course of yesterday.

Ruben Rochina has left on loan to Real Zaragoza for 6 months, Simon Vukcevic had his contract cancelled by mutual consent and Diogo Rosado has left for Benfica on a temporary arrangement after failing to establish himself at the club.

Amine Linganzi and Jordan Slew also left for pastures new (rhyme alert) but if anyone could tell me they still remembered he was here I'd be very surprised.

What a day, and as it turned out... for all the wrong reasons.
