Allardyce accepts Kean settlement

Sam Allardyce has accepted a compensation settlement from former Rovers boss Steve Kean over a incident caught on video phone and published on the internet last year.

During a pre-season trip to Hong Kong Steve Kean was caught 'refreshed' on video camera conversing with Rovers fans and made a remark about Sam's time at the club and the reasons for his sacking.

We don't need to go over it again but suffice to say the word 'crook' was used by Billy Bullshitter in relation to Allardyce's employment termination, something which the now West Ham manager took offence to and sought legal action against.

This issue has now been settled with Big Sam accepting damages from Kean.

ITV News have reported - 'His solicitor, Hanna Basha, told Mr Justice Eady that the 'false and defamatory' allegation, made while Mr Kean was drinking in a bar in Hong Kong, was filmed on a camera phone and subsequently published to many hundreds of thousands of people over the internet and reported in the national press.

She said that Mr Kean had acknowledged the allegation was completely untrue, withdrawn it, and agreed to pay a substantial sum in damages.'

Just waiting for our apology now Steven... Get comfortable boys and girls.

Nice moral victory there, not often you root against the guys connected to your club but I think we can make an exception here!

too right Mikey good to see that Kean not being able to keep all the money from his "constructive dismissal" payout

More annoying is that the club had to pay for gob*****es indescretion.

Makes me sick how the media have been reporting an apology from ''Blackburn Rovers'', Blackburn Rovers need not apologise for anything to do with that ape, And his name should never be uttered in the same breath as Blackburn Rovers again.
