Bentley Top Midfielder

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you who you felt was worthy of the title "Midfielder of the Month for August?" You voted David Bentley top man.

The player who you voted the most effective Midfielder for August in a landslide vote would be England U21 International David Bentley, pulling in a mammoth 90% of the votes.

Steven Reid and Robbie Savage both gained 4% each so a decision is needed as to who will join Bentley in the overall vote to determine player of the month for August? Savage didn't have the best of months and Reid struggled with niggling injuries.

Other than tossing a coin not sure what else I can do? Unless only Bentley advances as let's face it neither Reid nor Savage will pull in the most votes in the final Player of the Month Poll! What's the general opinion on this issue, Reid or Savage, or merely just Bentley?

Morten Gamst Pedersen, who had been well below par, some of his crossing against Chelsea would be shocking for a player of his quality, would only gain 2% of the votes.

So in summary
David Bentley - 90%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 2%
Steven Reid - 4%
Robbie Savage - 4%

As the search for the Rovers player of the month for August draws to a close the current poll (running for the whole of Tuesday and Wednesday only) is asking "Forward of the Month for August?"

Remember the two forwards with the most votes advance to the overall poll, joining Brett Emerton, Lucas Neill, David Bentley, and maybe Steven Reid or Robbie Savage to determine who you felt deserved the title as Vital Blackburn Rovers Player of the Month for August.

Well deserving of the votes received. Bentley and Emerton seem to have a good understanding and combination on the right-hand side of the pitch.

It's always been known he's had all the talent in the world, he delivers, but not as regularly as some would like? Hopefully he'll be flying this season.
Hughes Da Man
He's looking good. I think, if you have to choose between Sav and Reid go for Sav as he has plyed the extra game! Really excited about Bentley for this season.
roversman
Thanks for that roversman, still undecided? I'd probably have chosen Savage over reid also. The forward poll is looking closer (McCarthy aside!) so I may well advance three forwards forward?
Hughes Da Man
Good to see him build up a rapport with Emerton.

They've seemed to have brought the very best out of each other (Emerton & Bentley.) I keep harping on about it but the Chelsea game would be the best right sided combination I've seen for a while.
