Rovers make Appleton approach

Rovers have announced on their official website that they've made an approach to Blackpool manager Michael Appleton.

Director Derek Shaw has confirmed that he is the only manager they've made a move for following the departure of Henning Berg last month.

Appleton hasn't been in his current role at the Tangerines long but there have been rumblings and rumours of discontent between Appleton and Blackpool owner Karl Oyston.

What's your reaction to the news??

Absolutely enraging. I can't even begin to fathom the contradiction, sheer stupidity and short sightedness that went into this decision. Why, why, why is it so hard for them to just leave well enough alone?

Just stay with Bowyer for the moment, he hasn't lost yet. I'm going to church today to pray for a magnificent victory over wolves so we can keep Bowyer, he is better than Appleton

Shocking decision in my opinion. He should have been brought in instead of Berg, not in place of Berg!! It is too late now to bring in an 'up & coming' manager!
