King pleased with Rovers switch

Joshua King has proclaimed his delight at securing an Ewood Park switch - after signing on loan from Manchester United yesterday.

King sealed an initial two month loan yesterday with a view to a more permanent arrangement in January if need be, with the ability play on both the wing and more centrally he could be a wise addition and the 20 year old represents Henning Berg's first signing as manager.

'I'm very excited to get the move to Blackburn,' The Norwegian told the club's official site.

'They are a strong team in the championship and by coming here I want to help the team to get back into the Premier League where they should be.

'The manager was a big factor in coming here, he spoke to me, he told me about his plans and the way he wants his team to play it sounded right for me, I couldn't let that chance slip.'

The new boy even had a few kind words to say about his potential striker partner Jordan Rhodes, who (aren't we all) Josh is impressed with.

'I watched him against Peterborough and he impressed me and he looked great,' continued King.

'His finishing, his timing in the box, he's got an eye for a goal and I can't wait to play up front with him and to try and help him score more goals, and him help me too.

'I can't wait for the game on Saturday against Millwall.'

Manager Henning Berg was also understandably pleased that the club managed to bag another addition to an already fairly stacked list of attacking options...

"We are very happy to bring Joshua in," said Berg. "He will add pace, strength and more attacking options to the team.

"We are going into a period of eight games against very very good teams, so we are happy to get him here and happy with United for letting him come to us.

"He's been there for five years, he's been on loan at other places and now he is coming to us and we are delighted with that.

"I also think it is good for Joshua as well to be able to play more first team football and to continue to develop as a player."
