Nonda A Very Good Signing For Rovers

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Is Shabani Nonda a good signing?" A whopping combined 89% in total think he will be a VERY good signing.

An overall 89% of you feel the DR Congo International will be a very good signing in one respect or another, and help the club recover from the disappointing start to the campaign. 53% merely think his good scoring record should see him do well, the other 36% see the fact that he is in effect playing for his future as he aims to impress Rovers, which leaves them have nothing to lose, so he should perform.

The remaining 11% were not so sure. 5% saw his injury problems as a worry, 3% would have rather kept the man he was effectively been brought into replace Shefki Kuqi and the final 3% didn't think we needed another forward in any case! Maybe this is meant in the respect other areas needed strengthening more?

Let's hope that he doesn't disappoint the majority starting with a possible debut tomorrow against Sheffield United as Rovers seek that illusive first win of the 2006/2007 season.

So in summary
Good scoring record so should do well - 53%
Has had injury problems, so a worry - 5%
Playing to impress so we have nothing to lose - 36%
Would rather have kept Kuqi - 3%
Didn't think we needed another forward - 3%

As the search for the Rovers player of the month for August begins the current poll (running for the whole of Friday and Saturday only) is asking "Defender of the Month for August?"

Remember the two defenders with the most votes advance to the overall poll to determine who you felt deserves the title as Vital Blackburn Rovers Player of the Month for August.

89% of people can't be wrong can they? What are the true feelings of those who voted? Personally as much as Kuqi was another option if nothing else Nonda is a far better prospect potential. Age wise they are the same so Nonda gets a big two thumbs up from me.

i think Nonda is going to score a hatful of goals in the Premiership, I was excited about Benni, but have to say Nonda arriving is bigger for me, get the two of them playing well togther and it will be explosive and with Roberts, who's as good, to play with either one Blackburn will have one of the best strikeforces in the league, should they stay fit
Clint
It all seems very promising doesn't it, its an interesting dilema for Hughes to be left with, who is left out? I'd say that Roberts can, and will play with either, think he'll be the constant, but with whom?
Hughes Da Man
a popular choice isn't him. i like his golden boot.
