Rochina set for run in the side

Ruben Rochina could be set for a run in the Rovers first team after it has come to light that manager Henning Berg is quite the fan.

Rochina has had a very up and down career at Ewood Park, with glimpses of fantastic technical ability overshadowed by terrible inconsistency and casual greediness on the ball.

But there is no doubting the man's talents and harnesses correctly, he could be a key player this season. Something that the new Rovers boss has picked up on early doors.

Berg told the official site - 'He's a fantastic talent, his technique, his skill, his control, his dribbling.'

'I think there'll be a lot more coming from him, he's fantastic to watch, the way he moves the way he plays and for us we just have to find the right balance in the team.

'Making sure we have the players around him that can compliment his qualities so we can get the best out of everybody, him and the other players around him.

'We know he has quality on the ball, we want him to express himself, we want him to use his best qualities.

'As long as he does it in the right areas and at the right times then it is fantastic.'

I imagine a starring role for Ruben would be a popular move amongst those in the stands?

Would be great to see him more, that central role has his name written all over it if he can maintain consistency...
