McKinlay approach rejected

Rovers have had their approach to speak to Billy McKinlay turned down by Fulham.

McKinlay is currently first team coach at Fulham and assistant manager for Northern Ireland, he is highly though of in both positions and has been earmarked for bigger roles in the game.

This has led to the club asking for permission to speak to their former player about the current managerial vacancy at Ewood Park.

But it seems there is no dice for now, the search continues...

Well so much for the long list of experienced, quality Managers applying for the Rovers job! Shocking and more proof that these idiots simply don't have a clue

Are these clowns ever going to learn from past mistakes or are they trying for back to back relegations????When will this horrible nightmare end....:-( We aren't asking for much, just someone with some positive managerial experience.

Have they ever answered WHY an older appointment with plenty of experience is a bad thing? "We've had former Real Madrid managers, star names to inspire the fans and well respected football stalwarts interested but we'd rather have Billy McKinlay". Muppets.

The answer is really quite simple and in line with typical venkys logic. They are looking for a manager with the same managerial cerdidentials as Steve Kean, Somebody they can manipulate and will be seen but not heard, who will be happy just to have the title as manager. The managers that we would like, ie, Antic, Mcarthy, Holloway, or anybody with an ounce of managerial know how, will simply not work under the terms that venkys want. They want there people to be the real people running the club. It gets more farcical by the hour. Strap in for a bumpy ride.

So we had a ex first team coach as our last manager which really didnt work and so far we've only gone for 2 other first team coaches? Are they bein for real with the quality of candidates that have applied. What the hell is wrong with Venkys? ? ? ? ?
