'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Black disappointed with late concession

Rovers once again paid the price for failing to effectively see out a game with a late Theo Robinson strike costing us 2 points with only two minutes of normal time left on the clock.

Caretaker manager Eric Black was left frustrated after a professional away performance was undone after David Dunn (who was by far and away the game's star player) was withdrawn for Mauro Formica halfway through the second half.

As a result Rovers changed shape and sat back, inviting Derby County back into the game, something that exposed Black as a manager and Rovers as a side that lacks that crucial bit of bottle.

Black told the Rovers official site - 'As the game unfolded we got deeper and deeper. I am really disappointed we didn't win the game.

'I thought the first half performance was okay, there were decent signs, but the seond half we dropped into that lull.

'It is very, very frustrating. I thought with the players we had on the pitch, we should have won the game and I'm extremely disappointed we haven't.

'We dropped and dropped, didn't retain possession of the ball and all of a sudden pressure comes on.

'We tried to change it to get further up but it didn't happen. In the end the obvious happens. I am really, really disappointed because we have to be better than that.'

Not the first time though is it? That Kean like quality of being able to lose points is still with us.

We are still playing like a Steve Kean team, sitting back and defending a lead far to early in a game and we paid the price once again,

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2220716/Ian-Holloway-Blackburn-Rovers-target.html Hopefully this will come to fruition. Black simply hasn't got it. Ollie has taken Blackpool as far as he can and needs a fresh challenge. If the budget thing is true he could also add to our ranks in January e.g. Ince etc

I'd take him in a heart beat, BUT!! I feel they are holding out for Black to win a match so they can say he must have the job now, -.-
