Kean pens new Rovers deal

Rovers have announced that goalkeeper Jake Kean has signed a new contract at Ewood Park which will keep him at Rovers till 2016.

It is an extension to his existing contract which will allow Rovers to hang onto a young goalkeeper with an increasingly good reputation.

Kean has enjoyed hugely successful loan spells at both Hartlepool and Rochdale and even starred in a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the final game of last term which earned him a rave review.

The England Under 20 keeper will be expected to kick on and push for a first team place in the near future.

I feel sorry for the lad having to carry the same name as the cretin that resigned. Hopefully he will be a star for us one day and turn it into a "positive"...sorry, damn you Steve I hate that word now!!

Somewhere there is a chap with poor eye sight who can't read the small text cursing and yelling because all he could see was the headline and the picture.
