Premature evacuation for Goodwillie

David Goodwillie has cut short his loan spell at Crystal Palace after failing to settle in London.

Eagles assistant manager Lennie Lawrence has today confirmed the news that Goodwillie will be returning to fight for his Blackburn Rovers place after an uninspiring spell at Selhurst Park that was supposed to last till January at the earliest.

Welcome back David, good news, Kean has left.

pmsl at the title Mr Delap :-D ... Great news IMO, from what i've seen so far in this league he should be more than capable of knocking in a few goals for us.

Shame Nzonzi ended up leaving on a permanent, missing him massively in midfield, would have been a great boost to get him back.

I think this is your best Goodwillie article title yet. Let's hope Goodie at least gets a chance now. Still think he can do a job in this league...

Couldn't get in the side at Palace so why would you expect him to "do a job in this league". He needs to be shipped back to Scotland as soon as that is possible. Simply doesn't have what it takes

I don't expect him to do anything. I THINK he can do a job in this league. There is a difference. Using my own ability to form an opinion on the glimpses I have seen of him I think he has the potential to do a job in this league hopefully the new manager at least gives him a chance. Unlike Kean, purely because he was a SS signing.

Sorry to clarify a Venky's signing not a SS signing.
