Will David Dunn Return To Blackburn?

Reports recently are suggesting Mark Hughes made a move to bring David Dunn Back to Blackburn Rovers. A reported £2 million bid was rejected by Birmingham City on transfer deadline day.

Having joined Rovers as an 18-year-old trainee in 1997 Dunn made his debut as a 70th minute substitute against Everton in September 1998. This debut only lasted 11 minutes as a Blackburn sending-off would result in the substitute being substituted!

Arguably Dunn's most impressive run of form in a Blackburn shirt came between 2000 and 2002, his particularly fine form in the 2000/2001 season saw him dubbed "the New Gazza" and saw him in contention for a place in the England squad. His England debut came in September 2002.

Falling out with Graeme Souness (as so many players have in the past and not just Rovers players!) would see Dunn leave Ewood Park for Premiership rivals Birmingham in the summer of 2003 for £5.5 million. His time at St Andrews has been blighted with injuries but when available Dunn has often shown what he is capable of.

With a creative midfielder someone many Rovers fans would have liked to have seen arrive during the transfer window a fully fit Dunn would surely have fit the bill, although they do often say you should never go back!

What would you have made of a David Dunn return, would you have wanted it? Do you still think it could happen?

the only "copying" here is the "copying" of a theme if you can even call that "copying!" You read about something (as I did with Dunn in the paper) and decide if you put anc article on for others to talk about. I decided I would and used information I already knew and researched into. If it is judged "copying" if you used a theme from somewhere else then the media in general are guilty of "copying" everyday!

Given his history with injuries is he worth the gamble?
sandgroanun
That would be a worry, but IF he can stay injury free he'd be worth the gamble, not sure it will happen though.

it depends on whether Birmingham get promoted 1st time or not, Dunn will come back if he's faced with another dreary year in the Championship with the Brum.
Clint
he would come back and i would want him back even if brum came back.
