Rovers temporary manager Eric Black has conceded that Rovers weren't up to much in last night's 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest but is pleased with the point claimed given the change in system implemented last night.
Rovers played an unfamiliar 5-3-2 formation with 3 centre backs in Grant Hanley, Gael Givet and Scott Dann lining up alongside full backs Martin Olsson and Bradley Orr.
Rovers were unadventurous but unlike under Steve Kean looked organised and solid in their shape.
A rare clean sheet for Rovers and a point on the road that the interim boss was happy with.
Black told the official website - 'I think it is a good point.'
'We have been conceding quite a few goals to date, but it maintains our unbeaten away form, which as you can see from this division's results, is not an easy task.
'I would be honest in saying that I would like to have created a bit more but we changed the shape and the players worked really hard to adopt that shape, and worked really hard to try and make it work.
'The front two worked extremely hard, but we have to work the ball better up the pitch, we have to try and ensure that we try and create.
'But the attitude of the players to defend their goal, to defend that away record was excellent, I think those things were the positives, but I would have liked to have created more chances.
'We'll be back in tomorrow and we'll try and get them as refreshed as possible to go again against Wolves.'
