Givet mistake in the past

Rovers boss Eric Black has confirmed that Gael Givet will be in the Rovers squad for tonight's game with Nottingham Forest after his bizarre substitution at half in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Charlton.

The incident was believed to have involved Bradley Orr and Eric Black with Givet unhappy with something in the lead up to the Charlton equaliser which he attributed to Orr.

As a result he made his feelings clear to Black and refused to come out for the second half.

But yesterday Gael had a meeting with the Rovers boss and cleared the air which led to the Frenchman apologising to the rest of the side, with the aim now to move on and regroup.

Eric Black told the LT - "Gael is absolutely fine. I have spoken to him, he came to see me, we have spoken about what happened and I am happy with how it has been resolved.

"He has spoken to the players and we will move forward. It is dealt with and we move on. It was an internal personal thing for him, which I fully respect. He explained it to me, I am happy with the explanation he has given me and it is history.

"Gael will be the first to say he did something he should have not have done, he is fully aware of that.

"However he is an emotional individual, wants to win games, plays with his heart on his sleeve, he has done exceptionally well for the team."
