Rovers reject Bunny bid

Rovers goalkeeper Mark Bunn is a wanted man and it has come to light that Norwich City have had a bid rejected to lure him to Carrow Road.

The bid was in the region of £500,000 but Rovers are adamant that Bunn, who impressed in between the sticks in a brief spell last Christmas, won't be leaving as competition is sorely needed for Paul Robinson as Blackburn No.1.

Rovers will be without Bunny for the season's curtain raiser at Ipswich on Saturday but the club are expecting Mark to push Robbo for the number one shirt in the coming campaign having made the drop down to the Championship.

Hands off, it seems.

Would be great to hang onto Bunn, he's underrated IMO.

Personally prefer him to be in nets..

Offer them Robinson instead as Bunn should be number 1 I would prefer Robinson to stay, as number 2, but Kean wont do that. Bunn should not have been dropped after his performances in the Liverpool, Man U matches last season. He should have been given a longer spell to ensure consistency and Robo should only have regained the number 1 spot if Bunn made more mistakes than Robinson does. Unfortunately Robinson, though still good with some reflex saves, now fails to command his area any more, he often doesn't come out to those attacks and crosses that he should, sorry but he has lost his 'Number one' tag so far as I am concerned. I can understand Bunn being interested with a move for regular first choice football, after the way Kean dropped him after such good performances. The signs are that he will only get a game if Robinson is injured or sold. Conclusion, sell Robinson to keep Bunn.
