Rovers set to add two more

Blackburn Rovers look set to welcome two new faces to the club on the now virtual conveyor belt of players heading into Ewood Park this summer.

First up coming off the heavily populated Portuguese section of said belt is youngster Diogo Rosado, who's deal at sporting Lisbon has now expired, after he passed his medicals and tests on Friday.

The player, who is 22 and is renowned for having a pretty deadly left foot on him, will become the FIFTH player Rovers have signed from Portugal this summer after the arrivals of Nuno Gomes, Fabio Nunes, Edinho Junior and Paulo Jorge. Rosado is expected to sign today with mere formalities left to complete for a player that was once tracked by Liverpool and Chelsea.

Elsewhere it seems Colin Kazim Richards has done enough during his recent short trial to convince the club he is worth taking on a season long loan from Galatasaray.

Despite the cancellation of the NEC game yesterday the behind closed doors kick about and his short spell in training with Rovers has convinced the powers that be that he is worth a punt.

Kazim-Richards can player as both a winger and a striker and despite being something of a journeyman at the relatively young age of 23 he has got pace and flair in his locker even if accusations of a bad attitude have followed him about.

The season long loan is expected to cover for the injury of Leon Best.

Finally, Rovers are expecting to hear back from Huddersfield today regards their bid for Jordan Rhodes. A bid was submitted for the player on Friday afternoon/evening and although Huddersfield appear to be tempted there is still the feeling there that the club are not willing sellers.

marshinrover
Apparently he is supposed to come with a bit of potential. I would imagine at 22 we'd be expecting him to get cracking fairly quickly?

Kazim Kazim is a journey man, bang on. Yes hes been capped 35 times by Turkey and has played around 100 games for the Bitter Istanbul Rivals but he's more of a squad player and aside from that, ANOTHER MIDFIELDER!!!! Doesnt Portugal have any decent defenders? Geesh! BTW Delap, Kazim is 25!

I think rovers should go for owen to replace best for the six months he is out owen has just been released by united free transfer there for rover if they go for h
Rovers_wildman
owen would be a good player alright but he is getting old all the same
stevekally
Yeah but having a player like him in the squad would help develop the younger forwards like jordan Rhodes, owen is still a great player that could easily score goals to help Blackburn back in the prem and there would be no transfer fee easy buy if he choses to comes to rover
Rovers_wildman
On a contract for a year or two as you said he is getting on a bit
