Rovers in power struggle over Simon Cox

Rovers could be on the cusp of securing the signing of West Brom's Simon Cox... but that is only part of the story.

Rovers and WBA are in talks over the transfer of striker Simon Cox and the player seems to be set on the move but whilst Steve Kean is... err... keen there are people in powerful places at Ewood Park who think there could be a better alternative elsewhere for Rovers.

This has led to something of a power struggle at Ewood with the much maligned boss trying to push the deal through but the bigwigs trying to block it leaving the player sat twiddling his thumbs.

The club have been looking at adding to their options in the forward and defence positions with Cox available it was thought that for around £2m it was a wise addition.

Expect them to put their foot on the gas double time if the Leon Best news falls into the 'not desired' category.

Interesting indeed. The outcome of this will tell us a lot...

I think we can do better then Cox personally. A very ordinary striker IMO.
