Zonz set for Spanish escape

Steven N'Zonzi looks to be finally stropping his way out of Ewood Park after lining up a move on loan to Spanish side Sevilla.

After slapping a fairly extortionate £10m price tag on his head offers have been very sparse in forthcoming for the lanky want away midfield man and after further discussions with the agent of the player over the last few days it has been decided that Zonz will be allowed to leave on a temporary basis.

N'Zonzi is loath to stay at Rovers much longer as he doesn't want to play under Steve Kean and feels his talents are better suited to the top divisions as opposed to a season being smashed around at London Road and the KC Stadium.

It now looks as if he is set to get his wish with Sevilla keen on taking him on a season long loan.

There should be a few provisos added to the deal with a January recall option a possibility in case the circumstances at Ewood Park change, as the powers that be are not ruling out the player seeing his current deal out at the end of the 2012/13 season.

That and they don't want to just sell him on the cheap.

Weird decision but at least it means we have the option of keeping him at some stage even if it is unlikely...

I thought he was contracted until 2015?

He's not that good ... i think £10m is ok though if Joe Allen is going for £15m ... We wont miss him (my opinion) he thinks he's better than wot he delivers on the pitch
Clint
Very odd if we loan him out, might as well get £5m for him and let him go.
Rye_of_the_Rovers
He has horrible postioning and spacial awareness while defending. £5mil is the most we would get out of him if it wasn't for the 'partick viera' tag. Let's ship him off for £7m and have it done with
Goneroverboard
Why don't we just let him go, surely it would be much more beneficial
Marcus:)
i wont miss him, dont like his style of play
