Kean wants Cox

Kean wants Cox

Steve Kean wants to sign West Brom striker Simon Cox to help the promotion bid this season.

Despite already signing Leon Best and Nuno Gomes to boost the front line, Rovers are apparently in talks with West Brom over the move for the Irishman.

Kean feels that Cox is the right man to penetrate (sorry)Championship defences and get the goals Rovers need to top the league.

It is believed West Brom would want around £3.5 million for the 25 year old, who they signed from Swindon in 2009 for £1.5 million after he scored 32 goals in 54 games for the lower league side.

Cox is a full Irish international, representing his country 14 times to date, most recently at the European Championships in Poland/Austria.

Just Saying, But What If....

Blackburn will do well under the boss. However, for arguments sake, if Rovers didn't secure an instant Championship return what would happen to Mowbray?

Caddis At The Double

Caddis has now spent the past three weeks with Blackburn, joining the club in Austria last week, and Mowbray, his boss at Celtic earlier in his career, is close to making his decision.
