Yak off to China, Robbo off to Turkey

Rovers have bid farewell to last seasons leading scorer Yakubu after he completed his move to Chinese side Guangzhou for £1 million.

Yak leaves after one season but is one of the few to actually leave with credit from a dreadful campaign last time out after netting 18 goals in a stellar campaign.

Meanwhile goalkeeper Paul Robinson is set for a move to Beskitas in Turkey after being another to make it clear he can't face playing in the Championship.

The move will represent Paul's first move abroad in football - but he should be praised for being one of the players to actually embrace the fans last season at a difficult time.

Robinson's departure should free up the number one shirt for long time number two Mark Bunn.

Sad to see them go, both endearing lads but was inevitable...

No surprise that these two have departed. They won't be the last either. Hoilett, N'Zonzi and Olsson will follow

Was to be expected, although i fully expected both to remain in the PL.

Robbo made the right noises to the fans last season but he is way past his prime, statistically he was one of, if not the, worse keepers in the prem. Him moving now would be better for him and better for the club.Sad really but if we are going to get back to the prem we need to clear out the deadwood.Pity the manager doesn`t feel the same about moving.

gutted to see Robbo leave but Bunn is more than good enough to replace him, good luck to him, the Yak was expected

I think the reason that Robbo looked like a bad keeper last year was because of the crap defending in front of him. Not to mention the awful tactics used to encourage other teams to attack us!

Irish Eyes Are Smiling

Blackburn`s game against Doncaster had already been called off. If it hadn`t, it definitely would with the Republic of Ireland`s decision to include two defenders in the final squad.

No Tippy-Tappy Performer

Bradley Dack has proven plenty of ability on the ball and has a keen eye for a goal, but the former Gillingham man has also show he's physically able and willing to get stuck in.

Modest Marksman

You'll not find many who haven't been impressed by Armstrong since he came to Blackburn. The on-loan Newcastle forwards goalscoring exploits speak for themselves.

Different Date Same Outcome

International call ups for Leutwiler, Mulgrew and Evans, along with provisional calls for Lenihan and Williams mean the trip to Doncaster has changed, the hoped outcome wouldn't.
